ParticipantDonald's post about his new websites under “Announcements” got me thinking… (always a dangerous thing)!Since the new websites combine academic purposes, I got to wondering about the rather august membership here. So, are you a history teacher / professor? a student (taking classes / seeking a degree)? a hobbiest - passionate about a certain part of history? a professional historian?I know that by virtue of being active on this site, we are all "students of history" - but how do you catagorize yourself?

ParticipantPersonally, I'm a graduate student pursuing an MA in Military History at American Military University, concentrating in World War II studies. I know that there are a handful of other AMU students here (that's how I found out about this site). I hold a BA in History from Davidson College in North Carolina and also an MA in Management from Webster University.Next?

KeymasterI'm a graduate student in art/architectural history. My field is inter-disciplinary in nature, but at the end of the day much of what I study is simply history as it is anchored in tangible objects throughout time.

ParticipantI'm a graduate student on hold. I've finished coursework and half of my MA Thesis, but had to suspend studies due to financial obligations. One more semester of hard writing and I could be ready to defend my thesis. I hate being on hold, but I want my thesis done correctly without other distractions detracting from its quality. After all, the MA Thesis is one's resume to enter a Doctoral program. 🙂

ParticipantI am a graduate student seeking my MA in European History. I have 4 classes left and a thesis to finish my degree. I hold a BA in World Military History from AMU. I hope to continue and get my PhD after retiring from the military in a few years.

I'm working on a plan, but it will take some time. The good news is History is still in the making as I delay, which means more to study. 🙂
