ModeratorHas anyone here ever heard of or used this? http://www.zotero.org/I'm sure of the 100 people in the world who use this, at least one must be here. 😀Check it the link, it looks interesting. Does citiations automatically and has some good, advanced bookmarking features. Wonder what the learning curve is like though. Already having enough problems as is keeping up with school while going from XP to Vista, nevermind learning a new program and a new browser (requires Firefox). But then again, Internet Explorer in Vista is vastly different than XP, and actually seems quite similar to Firefox. And in case anyone is interested in my opinion about Vista...YUK! I found a PDF file that intructs how to remove all the garbage and make it look and act as much as possible like XP. The most annoying feature of Vista is that security clearance thing. Whenever you move/delete/copy a file or add or move internet favorites, you have to get clearance from the NSA. ::) But there are ways to disable that. Will just take some getting use to I guess.

ParticipantHave to disagree with you here too. Seems me disagreeing with you is happening a lot lately ;D I have had a vista machine since the summer of '07 and love it. It took a while for me to get used to it but since then I think its great. Plus my computer has only crashed once since I got it and that was my fault.

ModeratorWell I admit I haven't really given Vista a fair chance yet.

ParticipantGive Vista a chance. It has gotten way better since the release of SP1 a couple of months ago. If anything, I think the interface with Vista is even more user-friendly than XP. I cant wait to see what Windows 7 will look like. I have to admit that I am definitely a PC guy, I simply cannot stand Apples. I hate the user interface and I think their file system is strange too.

KeymasterI have tried Zotero a bit and would really like to start using it. However, there seems to be a learning curve involved and I haven't set myself down long enough to pass it. Zotero integrates with Firefox and I even have it installed as an add on right now…Ski, maybe you should be the one to master the program and teach me the way of the Jedi Zotero. 😀

ModeratorOK, so far I'm liking this zotero thing. I'm having some problems with the citations (they are not correct…but it's probably something I'm doing wrong) and they don't always work as advertised. But I like the system (kinda like bookmarks on steroids) and that you can attach a link or even copy files from your own computer or the net so they'll be in one convenient location. What I have now is a main category Ancient Greece with a Pan-Hellenic Games subcategory and then under that I have subcategories of individual athletes and historical sources and graphics, another with some of the competitions and another with locations and "host" deities. Haven't tried integrating anything into Word yet.One good thing, even though you may have the file or webpage saved, it still shows the original link, which will at least give you a headstart for citing (until I get the thing to work correctly >:( )
