I am particularly impressed by the values you both incarnate regarding our wager: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal courage.I respectfully salute your sacrifice : hats off, Messieurs! A votre santé! ::)
Difficult to suggest one beer or another, it depends on what can be found there. However if I may do so, I'd recommend you some.If you wish you can start with a traditional breakfast-lunch-dinner diet (waffle-chocolate-beer).About beers, Duvel is a good blond but strong one; or you can choose a Chouffe (blond) or Orval (brown, Trappist abbey); then you can try any other beers you came along with like: Derilium Tremens or Derilium Nocturum and complete your Gourmet Tour with a Stille Nacht.Of course if you prefer fruity beers there is also the famous Kriek (geuze), made of cherries. But don't forget some cheese sprinkled with celery salt or few roasted peanuts of course. 🙂A short list here, just in case: (with many that I've never heard of before...)http://www.thebestbelgianbeer.com/Scout can probably provide few more wise advicesbtw your Tim Howard is really the man of the game!
Tuesday is coming. Would you like me to submit a list of fine Belgian beers for you in order to smooth any kind of deep disappointment after that kind of football lesson? 🙂However and against all odds, except Budweiser, any tasty US beers you can suggest? (not from Anheuser-Busch InBev pls)
That is pretty neat. Maps are awesome. Incidentally, the map #4 predated the birth of the Belgian Congo?
Since the Congo Free State was existing from 1885 until 1908, that map must be dating from that period of time. However this state wasn't due to any Belgian naval power as the caption of this map is suggesting about the carving up of Africa during the "Scramble for Africa" era.
My mistake. Their blue jerseys throw me off. Should be ORANGE-NASSAU
The fact is that ORANJE is a real threat: in previous competitions, the Netherlands have been a real nightmare for Belgium. And they look very strong this year...
I had heard that they were on the verge of withdrawing the Qatar World Cup and awarding it to the United States....I wonder if this is still going to happen.
Maybe but that would be the acknowledgment of a major "failure" from the Fifa. But if the US could get it, that would be great.
I expect Belgium to reach at least the quarterfinals if not the semi-finals.
Wrong again: Belgium is the next world champion. 10 special Belgian beers on the table!! Do you follow? 8) (too bad the smoking smiley is not available anymore)
