Strong work ethic, a flexible and enduring legal code, a humble and honest populace, emphasis on the family, and universal resolve to defend the homeland.

I have slowly shifted toward the pacifist's position that there is no just cause for going to war (especially from the point of view of Jesus).  Jesus would prefer us to surrender to our enemies and be patient until the He returns to put our enemies under our feet.  Having said that, I totally understand why going to war can be a necessity.  To save those we love and the way of life we hold dear, is always a “rational” reason to go to war.  But as a Christian, there is nothing in this current world that trumps God's word to love our enemies and consider no flesh and blood an enemy at all.  I know this is a hard thing to follow, but even when men win wars, they have already lost a portion of their souls in the victory.  When a person kills their fellow man, he kills a portion of himself in the deed.  I just long for the day when man makes war no more.

I subscribe to Necessary War Theory.  No war is just.  We all belong to the human race.  All wars, therefore, are fratricidal tragedies.

There is no “Just War” just war.

Well Twitter is good for quick factoids, and mindless gibberish.  I can get that here. 🙂

I think Twitter is stupid and Facebook as well.  I tried them both and got bored with them very quickly.

I'm glad we toppled Saddam, but outside of that, it wasn't worth it.

He nearly won the last time.  It's not that big of a surprise that he won this time.  Apparently he is a compromise that most of the Cardinals could agree on.

Yeah.  I'm glad it wasn't fulfilled though.  Even if his name was Peter, it wouldn't mean anything.

Well I guess the Petrus Romanus prophecy wasn't fulfilled.  So doom off for now.  I hope this guy is a good Pope.  He didn't want the job so that probably means he will do great.

How is it he has survived all these years?  Why didn't Hitler kill him during the war?

The best way to make money on a website is to provide content worth subscribing to or to offer something people will make donations for.  Otherwise you have to get lucky and create a site that generates a ton of traffic that will entice others to want to advertise on your site.

I kept checking in all weekend and very little activity was going on.

That was pretty awesome.  I can tell the guy is a big Dire Straits, Motley Crue, and White Stripes/Jack White fan.
