ParticipantI noticed I've been getting some over at Big East Fans. I can't believe they would go to such lengths to look up who the current UofL Athletic Director is or who is the new Big East commissioner etc….but more power to them I suppose.

ParticipantThen why is FEMA and Homeland Security prepping for a “Zombie Apocalypse?” I think I read somewhere on Drudge a while back that they were holding training exercises to ward off “zombies” which is just hungry people roaming the countryside looting for survival in the aftermath of some catastrophe or when the economy collapses.

ParticipantI would imagine Homeland Security and FEMA would step in and round up dissidents under martial law conditions if they thought there was anything to this secession movement.
DonaldBaker
ParticipantThere is a secession movement cranking up. Anybody know what that's all about?

ParticipantAfter we go off the fiscal cliff, America won't be able to do anything in the world anyway. We will become isolationist by default as the other major powers will push us to the side. We are witnessing the twilight of America.

ParticipantI think Hillary would win the nomination easily, but she's going to be out of the limelight for the next four years. What does she have to do to keep her name fresh in people's minds? What kind of role will she play in politics until then? If she is going to run for president, she will do an exploratory committee in the next couple of years so we should know something by then. I hope she doesn't run myself. I don't think I could stand having that woman in the Oval Office because that means her cheating lying husband will be back there too and you know he will influence policy.

ParticipantHillary will be getting a little old for the presidency by then. I doubt she will even run. If so she will definitely be the front runner.

ParticipantIt's time to go isolationist and let the world rot. We've bankrupted ourselves trying to export our way of life and all it's gotten us is the hatred of the world. Call our service folks home now and call it a century or two.

ParticipantMy dream ticket. Pelosi/Reid 2016!!!
They would utterly destroy whatever RINO the GOP settles on.

ParticipantI never bought into the COIN philosophy. We should have toppled Saddam and rebuilt the damage we did and bugged out. Nation building isn't our job, and it shouldn't be because we screw it up every time we try it.

ParticipantThe country is lost to liberalism. They have won the war. After four more years of Obama, there won't be any country left to save.

ParticipantRomney was a weak candidate. He had no likable personality (he was stiff almost fabricated in nature). He was Mormon and I am sure that soured many Christian voters who understood what Mormonism is all about. He was a RINO and libertarians and hardcore conservatives couldn't get jazzed about another moderate/liberal representing the GOP. Romney talked a conservative game, but many of us knew he would never govern that way. Romney invented Obamacare in Massachusetts for crying out loud. There were questions about his Bain Capital company that whether contrived or not, he never really countered effectively. He is rich, and that puts off many voters who suffer from class envy (which Obama effectively capitalizes on). Finally, he wasn't willing to attack Obama on the Benghazi attack where Obama was very vulnerable. Romney had opportunity after opportunity to hit Obama hard during the campaign, but refused to do so like McCain did. The result is eerily similar to McCain's effort. In short, I'm not surprised by this outcome. America is a spoiled rotten little child and Obama's team fully understands this and knows how to manipulate the masses. The GOP has to re-brand if it wants to win elections going forward. If it can't, it will be torn asunder by the Tea Party and other rising factions.

ParticipantI told you guys that Mitt Romney was a weak candidate. He never could sustain any momentum and Obama could say whatever he wanted and nothing boomeranged on him.

ParticipantJobs growth is being outpaced by the population growth (i.e. new job seekers entering the job market). Obama isn't even maintaining the status quo in what they term the “new economy.”
DonaldBaker
ParticipantI have an account, but haven't been on it lately.
