I think it created an era of cynicism and scorn for our legal system due to all the copycat frivilous lawsuits that followed. It was another contributing factor to the death of Reason. 🙁
I Googled your sitename and it popped up number one and my forum is right underneath it, and AcademichHistory.org (neglected site that it is) is right there too. Are you talking about meta tags? Maybe there is a meta tag generator mod you can add to the forum. If the people here would post more subjects, it would have more chances to pickup a Google bot.
To be honest, I think I like SMF a little better than phpbb2, but the support community is so much larger with phpbb2 than SMF. Plus I find it a little more user friendly to install and configure. I have a copy of SMF on my hard drive, but I was too lazy to do all the stuff to get it running. I thought this site would piggy back NJC/NJO and then take off, but I fear my site is not helping you much. History is not many people's bag I guess…..either that or they are waiting for someone to post the right subjects. Maybe a dose of “hot button” topics is what is needed.
I believe the Zeppelins were in use toward the end of World War I when the bi-plane became a dependable airframe for combat sorties. I suppose their main purpose was to extend the range of the planes by conserving fuel. They were extremely vulnerable to attack though, and quickly became obsolete. Balloons were first used in combat roles in the American Civil War as spotters for field artillery. They were quite effective in this role.
I found your site Phid when I read your posts on the American History forum. I actually went to your Great Awakening site first and then found your forum. It bothers me greatly that this forum is not getting any more action than it is. I wish this site and the Religious History Forum were doing better. Historians I know would probably love to visit here and shoot the historical bull. I know I haven't spent enough time in here. I try to visit here at least once a day, and if there are new posts, I try to participate. I probably need to start some threads in the two forums you made me a mod on. I'll try to dig up some of my old stuff from college and post it here. You know, I wish I had built a site like this, but you beat me to it. Something else too, the other NJO members who are registered here seem to have forgotten this place. That bugs the crap out of me, but I don't know what to do about it. This place should have 10 times the members of NJC/NJO by now.

The ancient Egyptians built their pyramids in accordance with the zodiac star formations and were able to align them perfectly with the most modest of measuring devices.? We'll probably never know how advanced they really were due to the great fire that burned the library of Alexandria, Egypt. 🙁
I know the SMF install is more complicated than phpbb.? I like the features it has, but the support community at phpbb is more vast I think.? There's always some developer out there working on just the thing you are wanting.? Now postnuke is the bomb.? You should have gotten a postnuke version and embedded your pnphpbb2 forum in it like I did on my site.? I'm telling you I will be singing the praises of postnuke for a long time to come. 😉
He was a natural born leader. He commanded respect, and he was feared. Adding to this, he was successful militarily save for the combined might of Europe withstanding him. He made his men feel invincible, and it was a feeling they enjoyed.
Do you still have the zip packet of this program? I would like to play around with it myself and see if this would be something I want to use. If you have it, email it to me por favor. It might be simple enough that I can edit it to do different things.
I posted a demo listing to see how it works. Everything is really sweet except the auction beginning and ending dates are a little screwy. Have you set the date on your auction site?
Okay I see I can upload pics. Duh…Okay I need details. Database size, pruning capability, etc...Do I need ImageMagick or some other image manipulation software or does it come with the auction package? Basically tell me everthing I need to know to install this myself.
