They are the same period. The differences are so minute it's not worth mentioning. Romney is a corporate hack/fascist and Obama is a socialist hack/fascist. Both adhere to fascism (granted not on the Nazi scale), but they both prefer a plutocracy or oligarchy where government is more centralized and intrusive. If Romney gets in, he won't undo anything Obama did including Obamacare. He might repeal it, but he will replace it with his own version which will be just as wrong for the country. Romney is as likely to drag us into another Middle East war as Obama. Both will raise taxes in some form or another. Romney will cater to big corporations who have bought him off. Obama will cater to big interest groups who have paid him off. Both are beholden to the big banks. Romney might be more friendly to Israel than Obama, but then again, he might sell them out too. Just what is there to like about Romney? What made him so special to rise to the head of the GOP class? He's not as smart as Newt Gingrich. He's not as loyal to the constitution as Ron Paul. He's not as passionate as Rick Santorum. He's the ultimate mixture of mediocrity and bland. He's an elitist and a follower of a religion that is really really messed up. He actually might be worse than what we have if that were possible. He's certainly no better. Vote for who you want, but if you are voting because you think he will be different, you are going to be sorely disappointed.
I'm sorry I will not vote for Mittens. I definitely won't vote for Obamanation. I might vote for the Libertarian candidate if he makes it on Kentucky's ballot.
Romney would and will continue to undermine the constitution as he ratchets up the police state. Pick your poison.
He needs to call Obamacare the subversion of the Republic and not offer something to “replace” it. I'm sorry Phid, but Romney is no better for the country than the one already in office. Our liberties are at stake. Both plan to build more intrusive government. They just disagree on the details of how to do it.
Well Bloomberg has a new national poll out and Obama leads Romney 53 to 40. I'm going on record now saying I expect Obama to win. Romney just doesn't energize the GOP base and unless he finds a way to use the Obamacare ruling as a springboard, he's toast.
Ike might not have had the stomach for some of the bloodiest engagements, but then again, he probably would have devised a strategy to prevent those casualties in the first place…however he would have lost time in doing so. Patton understood that sometimes you just have to get your nose bloodied and get the fight over with rather than allow the enemy time for comfort and preparation. Of course he was also in a race for glory and ultimately that was his undoing. Ike was a better balance overall and would have done well regardless. Ike was just too valuable as the overseer to be saddled with anything else.
Alexander Hamilton would probably be smiling right now because our nation today is closer to what he envisioned…minus having a king, though the presidency is pretty much a monarchy now.
The Founding Fathers would be absolutely appalled at what this nation has become. Dare I say they would cry like babies knowing they sacrificed so much just for their descendants to louse it all up.
Not an expert in this area but I think Ike would have been a very competent field commander, but he was born to be an administrator.
I'm 99% sure Obama is the Antichrist, and if he's not, then the Antichrist is taking notes on how to be the Antichrist by watching Obama. Romney, well, he's a RINO who wants to repeal Obamacare, but get this, he wants to “replace” it. Replace it with what? Just repeal the stupid thing and leave the healthcare system alone as it is. This is why I can't vote in this year's election. Romney is not that much different from Obama. Yes he is not as liberal, but he's not a conservative either. He talks conservative while he campaigns, but he won't follow through with it once elected. He will try to govern from a moderate position which means he will routinely cave in to the Democrats on key issues. How is that any different than having Obama with a GOP Congress? Romney may well have a full GOP Congress to work with, but he won't use it. Republicans never do when they have the super majority. They are so used to being the minority party, they don't know how to lead when the pendulum swings their way. Then what happens? The GOP loses power because they frustrate their base who feels like Charlie Brown and the football. Newt Gingrich is a prime example of a missed opportunity. He had the mandate once and frittered it away trying to coexist with the liberal Democrats and the Clintons. I'm sick of this same old song and dance.
