ParticipantHi Darren! If you don't mind I would like to post your videos on my Writers of History site and maybe publish one of your essays on the front page if you have one you are willing to go public with. I'm the Kentucky resident Phid mentioned. My postgraduate work is in Early American History (First Great Awakening/Colonial South Carolina). I might have some questions for you when I get back in school and finish my MA thesis.

ParticipantI've studied just about every time period to some degree, but my three concentrations are ancient history, early American including Civil War, and modern American. I like it all, but you have to specialize at some point.

ParticipantPM me and I'll take a look at what you have. I will point you in the right direction if nothing else.

ParticipantRomanticism for the Lost Cause. It makes for a good story.

ParticipantIt's not ruined beyond repair, but it's hard to take Archaeology seriously when it has been tarnished with so many frauds. The same goes for Anthropology.

ParticipantIn Archaeology, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
I thought you held Archaeology in despite somewhat?
Exactly. That's why I said what I did. Hoaxes have ruined Archaeology.
DonaldBaker
ParticipantWouldn't be a big deal here in America would it?

ParticipantThey made the Dornier 17's out of aluminum. Interesting.

ParticipantI still don't see what they get out of doing this? Nobody clicks their links or even checks their profiles. And sites like these that have relatively low traffic don't garner them much in that regard either. Seems stupid to me to waste so much time scouring the web and registering everywhere like they do. But they sure do believe in it.

ParticipantI guess it's the same as the Babylonian Captivity of the Papacy when France became the seat of the Holy See.

ParticipantI have a copy of Eisenhower's Crusade in Europe, but nothing on Churchill. Sorry skiguy I failed you again.

ParticipantI'm late seeing this thread. Patrick I am so sorry somebody posted such hateful garbage on your site. Everyone here that knows you can tell you are a top notch scholar and have served your country with highest distinction. That person, whoever he is, is a fool and is to be pitied. I would not delete his comments because that would be censorship. I would fire back a volley of my own and put him in his place. You have the credentials to do that, and nobody here would think it out of the way if you did so. My curiosity is what motivated him to write such a thing in the first place?
