It's all about control of the Caucus oil pipeline and Pakistan is a threat with its nuclear weapons to U.S. hegemony there...well that's what AJ and his crew are saying. Might be some truth in there who knows.
Looks like I've missed something by being away the last few days. Not used to seeing tempers flare here at WCF. But this can be a touchy subject so can't say I'm surprised either.
It's like a freaking spy novel. Russian intel is saying he was giving nuclear and biological weapons secrets to al Qaeda in order to start a war between Pakistan and the US. Consider the source, but still. Strange world we live in.
Alex Jones and his people have been saying for a long time that we wanted to provoke a war with Pakistan to divide it into smaller nations.
Here is an interesting graph of what the federal budget has looked like since Kennedy was in office. I thought it interesting that the graph stays relatively flat from when the Elder Bush was president until Obama took office when it skyrockets.
Think of corporatism as the beginnings of plutocracy or oligarchy….namely a collusion of powerful economic interests pushing their own agenda within the government.
A new book is coming out soon which may cause some waves: ?Colonization After Emancipation: Lincoln and the Movement for Black Resettlement," by Phillip W. Magness. In it, he argues that Lincoln explored opportunities for sending freed slaves out of the country for colonization, particularly to Guyana and Belize. These claims are apparently based on new documents that have been discovered, so it's not as if this was merely a rehashing of old evidence.
Colonization After Emancipation: Lincoln and the Movement for Black Resettlement
If these claims are correct, how will this reshape Lincoln's image and legacy?
Well known old news here. Lincoln was looking for ways to help freed slaves who wanted to get a fresh start away from the racial tensions in America. One could also say he was looking to avoid a refugee problem too. No one knew how things would play out in a post slavery South.
Harry Hamlin, Burgess Meredith, and Lawrence Olivier pawns the new version. Better actors with low tech cgi is always greater than pitiful actors who depend on graphics to hide their awful performances. I was thoroughly disappointed with the new movie.
I wonder why more people don't go to trade school. It seems like society pushes people to college even if that is not a good fit for them. There are also jobs out there where the money is good and no college is needed such as plumber, machinist, or electrician. I definitely think that college is not for everyone and at the same time think there is probably a decent profession available for everyone whether they go to college or not.
I'm starting to come to the same conclusion myself. Some of the wealthiest people I know are retired truck drivers. That profession can pay some money if you are fortunate enough to get in with the right company.
