ParticipantI agree, very well designed. More importantly, the content looks even more impressive. Bravo!

ParticipantYou think that's bad, I have been addicted to Tommy James and the Shondells for over a month now. Crimson and Clover has been playing in my head nonstop. I might be losing it.

ParticipantWow Aetheling, you sure find the horriblest (yeah I know it's not a word) pictures to post. You're on a roll with the horror pics. Whew! 🙂
DonaldBaker
ParticipantThat's a sad picture Aetheling. People sometimes don't realize what war does to those caught up in it. What was it Ozzy Osbourne said in War Pigs? Politicians hide themselves awayThey only started the warWhy should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor Lyrics courtesy lyricsfreak.com.Bet you never thought I would quote Ozzy Ozbourne on WCF did you? LOL

ParticipantExcellent find Notch! This is what I want to do over at Writers of History.com. I have software setup for online courses for folks to create (for practice and fun mainly). I'll have to scan this over really good to get an idea on how I can setup my course mock ups.

ParticipantYeah and the Titanic was unsinkable. If it's man made, it can be destroyed by Mother Nature…..she always wins out in the end.

ParticipantYou think this is the only place I've searched for help? lol. NOT.I've checked with Universities and Historians. I've checked!Do I tell them anything or everything-NO. Do I try to entice them even? Yes. AND no matter how I approach this...sneaky or honest...the results are the same.I'm either nuts or I'm either nuts.I didn't ASK for this!
Alright, if you need help, contact Dr. Wayne Lee at the University of North Carolina History Department. He will more than likely know who can help you in the Ohio area as he does archaeological work in Greece each year. I don't have any contacts in Ohio, so this is all I can do for you.

Participant??? Now I am officially wierded out. This is starting to sound like the plot of a Dan Brown book and not a serious search for possible historical documents and artifacts. ??? I am too much of a cynic to buy any of the conspiracy type theories. Occam's razor is too sharp for me I guess. I am going to have to bow out of this thread before I get too cynical and start to get snide.
I believe you already are. ;D

ParticipantI don't know whats going to happen, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your advice. It's just a little complicated I guess. I swear to you I didn't start out searthing for these things. I'm just a normal person who fixes computers and not much of nothing else lol - it all just happened and on many levels it makes me very upset that it did. It's not just the frustration of getting to it. There's much more going on.According to what I found- the weapon that actually killed Lincoln was not a gun it was a dagger. A spear blade refashioned into a dagger with Jewels in it. The Spear blade is the Spear of Destiny. The (_) saw to it that it got to Booth's hands. Booth didn't die until 'after he gave it away to Mrs Quesenberry. Remember the man who was with Lincoln who ended up getting cut with a knife? Remember what happened to Him and His Wife? The knife they have on display is not that of Booth's, I'm convinced when this blade is found it will have Presidents Lincoln's blood on it. Remember I said according to what I found it is the Spear of Destiny, not according to what I believe (though I do believe it).So there you have more to the story. I know it all sounds incredible, believe me, thats nothing to the rest of it. Here's a bit of mystery for you- Lincoln and Kennedy was killed for the same reason.
Because they were against the New World Order?

ParticipantWhy is my "this is entirely too weird to be true" radar going off the scale?? ???
Go to a local university or college (Akron is nearest you I believe), and see if one of the archaeology students or geology students has access to one, and see if a deal can be worked out with the school to share in your discovery if you are correct. I wouldn't be doing this if I was lying. I don't like my time wasted no more then anyone else does.I wish I would'uv never found any of it. I didn't come looking for believers, just a device. No malice is meant in any way shape or form.

ParticipantThis kinda flies in the face of the purpose of this forum. We are glad to help, but we won't do it all for you. We won't prostitute our vocation for you. We all paid our dues, now you have to do the same. Now having said this, I'll personally proofread it and help you make a better finished product, but that's the extent of my offer.

ParticipantOver at gradcafe, I was following a thread about some woman who was concerned about how her relationship with her boyfriend would be affected since she would be two years ahead of him in grad school. Someone responded with a message basically stating that the original poster had petty concerns, but prefaced it with the following:
I am sorry but this thread is such a hilarious example of "white people problems." Oh no, your boyfriend won't get his Ph.D. until two years after you! The horror!
I noticed that a lot of people were giving this post +1s, even though it seemed to me that the quip about "white people problems" was racially derogatory. So I write:
I'm sorry, but your comment is really out of line and someone needs to call you on it. Some might even say it's bigoted. What if someone made a comment about a hilarious example of "minority people problems"? Wouldn't be very nice, would it?Anyway, I really don't see how race is an issue at all with the OP's concern. Do you even know what race she is? Then why bring it up? Without your first paragraph your point would still have come across quite clearly.
Now people are defending the "white people" remarks, giving me -1s, etc. It just seems to me like such a remark would never be tolerated if it were about a minority group, yet because it's about caucasians it's somehow acceptable. Seems like a glaring double standard to me. I'm just wondering how other people view this.
You are obviously dealing with a lot of liberals who believe in white privilege. I suspect you are the minority on that board in terms of world view. I'm glad now I didn't follow you over there because you know me, I don't let things like that go by either.

ParticipantAs I told Wally, I am at a loss. Everything I can think of has been less successful that touted and in some cases lies were told to justify the experiment and the expenditures. I totally agree that that education or training is the single most effective tool that I can think of, but believe me when I say that in many cases the targetsare so far behind that remedial reading is required--sometimes for years--and this is very expensive.Another huge impediment are culturally induced values. Just as our parents taught us by direction or example that the annual joust with the IRS permitted the taxpayer to stretch the truth and even lie in the preparation of the appropriate documents, so too have our targets been inculcated that in their struggle with THE MAN itis permissible to do almost anything to survive. In my city a recent interview with over 500 youths revealed that most of them looked upon prison as a right of passage on the way to becoming a man and that most hadno real expectation of ever reaching 30. Food stamps are already part of our culture. To discontinue them would invite urban and rural unrest and lead to chaos and riots in the streets. Nothing so annoys a parent is a child crying with hunger pains and there be no food to provide for them. It leads to serious anti-social behavior. In this city private and public "feeding stations" (a horrible phrase since according to my wife it derives from the German words for feeding animals and eating for people--Fressen und Essen-- that provide one good meal for individuals. It is not really enough, but it keeps the lid on.I had steak last night--it was delicious and I did not offer to share it with anyone. What does that make me?
So you advocate bread and circuses for social control? To appease the mob? If we are to this point, I think we're already lost.
