HFIn order to shoot .45 Colt and .45 ACP in the same revolver requires two cylinders. The ,45 ACP headspaces on the front of the case(rimless case). The .45 Colt would not chamber all the way in a cylinder cut for the .45ACP. If half moon clips were used with the .45ACP then there would be too much headspace for the .45 colt as the rear of the cylinder would have to be cut enough to allow the clips to fit.My Ruger has both cylinders and it is accurate with both cartridgesYears ago when Webley .455 revolvers were cheap I used to buy them for about $15.00 then face off the rear of cylinders to accept .45 acp in half moon clips. Wish I had them now at the prices they are bringing currently
I plan to vote for the hot chick and that old white haired guy who is running with her.Nobama No wayLet's just take one election at a time. In 2012 maybe Billary will be out of the picture.(at my age I will probably be out of the picture also)
I agree with the 1900 to 1950 era. I read somewhere that over 90% of the world's inventions came about during that period. As an aside, my grandmother lived from the 1880's in horse and buggy days and lived to see a man walk on the moon.
I was given four acorns from a tree descended from an oak where Pickett's charge originated. Of the four only one acorn germinated. It is now planted in my yard and is about 6 inches tall
The real adventure is figgering out how to flush the commodes. Every one seemed to work differently. Then there was the experience of getting locked in the restroom in Munich airport but that is another story :-[
I am no fan of Jefferson Davis. I think he was a man of principle but his petty attempts to micromanage the war hurt the chances of success. He played favorites with his subordinates and handicapped some of his most capable generals.Except for a drunken bar fight Davis would have not been president. Robert Toombs was on the fast track to be president but got into a bar fight the night before the nominating convention. Davis actually did not want to be president he wanted to be a field general.Davis detested Joe Johnston who was a good general. Johnston once said "Jefferson Davis has tried to accomplish what God could not. He tried to make a soldier out of Braxton Bragg"I don't think that Davis was a traitor. He was not in rebellion against an elected government. He had seperated from that government and was president of a seperate country until that country was forced to rejoin the original country by force of arms. There is no difference in the war for Southern independence and the Revolutionary War where we seperated from the Crown except that the South lost.
Nobody famous, just a bunch of ordinary soldiers. One fought with the Swamp Fox, One was a Capt in the militia fighting Indians in this area in early 1800's. Four served in CSA army(two wounded and one POW). One uncle was career USN and served on the USS Washington when they sunk the only battleship sunk in one on one combat in WW2.
Welcome backAs you have probably found out by now, building a house can be the most frustrating experience of your life. But it is worth the frustration. Good luckBuggfuzz
