I do not agree with your summation. Cultures grow, and blend. That's what makes us unique, and tough. To suggest, as you do, that the mixing of cultures is horrific, would be to suggest that Hitler was right …..
I thought he was hilarious in Blazing Saddles. I never watched or don't remember watching the Carol Burnett Show. Mostly what I rememebr about TV in the 70's is Three's Company, MASH, Saturday Night Live, and my dad cussing every time he saw Carter on the news.Anyone remember when they used to play movies on like Saturday afternoon that would be sponsored by a siding, window, or roofing company and thats all you got for commercials was from the sponsor?
No, but I remember Saturday morning movies at the Admiral Theater in Bremerton, Washington, circa 1955. Those were the days. Giant hard candy suckers for a nickel ... someone make me stop. One could by a summer pass for Saturday morning movies, which would run from about 10:00 to 14:00. Those were the days!
The opening scenes of the Normandy Invasion in “Saving Private Ryan” rank right up their with me. I'll never forget my first viewing. I had gone out for Chinese take out, and had settled down for the film, and totally lost my appetite after the opening scenes. Can you say, “Left over Chinese food for breakfast?” 🙁
To me, the most hysterically funny man alive (?) is still Tim Conway (sp) – that skit in the dentist's office still rocks me with uncontrollable laughter! Or the one where he's sitting on the arm of sofa … classic physical humor! 🙂 You gotta laugh … and love it!
Agree, I do not. Harrington, while talented, can only hope to catch the Tiger, while the latter's knee heals. Let him out of the penalty box, and the Tiger will roar again.Padraig may be the next great one, but there are far too many hungry youngsters to bet on.I will condede this, however; TW has inspired countless young ball strikers, and established a new norm - following the Tiger, as I believe many young players will, which will lead to redesigning many golf courses to meet the imporved players and equipment. If he never plays professionally again, Tiger Woods has raised the standard for physical fittness and hard work. Professional golf will just get tougher, and better.
Scotland's courses are the oldest links in history – they were born out of the rough seaside dunes some 600 hundred years ago. Every one regrets Tiger's injury. On the other hand, he has set the bar. If he can't come back, the bar is lowered, because nobody can possibly meet the height previously attained.
multiculturalism? This is what goes on daily on this planet, and has always transpired. It is the futile efforts from multiple cultures on this planet to adapt, and accept one another. Probably one of the largest generators of war.Multiculturalism is what humans have fought about forever, at least after our forefathers left Africa. That you query its meaning does not give this one any hope. You still ask for what is evident, while it has been so through out human history.
AAAH! Another incomprehensible string of strange sentiments and pronouncements with little substance. You would be taken more seriously if you tried harder to make sense when writing something.
And, you sir, would be more believable if you had the smallest clue. Look again. Weak as you are, embelishing your behavior with false reason, you will never fool the truely insightful, whose intellect always cuts through BS. With far more understanding than surrounds your ignorance, we see through you, but will never hide it. Duck, you sucker!
Please don't insult other members of the board. Thanks. 😉Well, sir, this good advise. I recommend the same - don't be insulting me for expressing an opinion.
Well, sir, that would be that geography is in contstant flux. In other words, it is not a constant. As individuals, we don't see this, so the short sighted cannot be blamed. The changes in mother earth affect the creatures depending on it. Someday, the current population of humans may realize that, and take appropriate action. I personally doubt it, but one can always hope for future generations.

Look to the huge floating pieces of earth's crust that wander slowly about this ball. We are truely pugnacisous believing we have anything to do with that dog race.
What have been some of the greatest diplomatic or peace-ushering strategies or tactics of all time? For one, I would have to say inter-marriage. I recall that Alexander the Great used this tactic to blend conquered areas under his dominion; the so-called "Rape of the Sabine Women" also helped Rome; and inter-marriage during the history of Europe seems to have had the effect of allying nations which may have otherwise been at odds. So inter-marriage is a key strategy in diplomacy throughout the ages.
Sounds good, and I used to have hope for this concept. But facial recognition technolgy, indeed all technolgy, will continue to defeat any attempt for us to get together, as far as race, skin tone, et ceteral. I predict whole new generations of biggots, based on whom knows what?Inter breeding is a short range solution to a far longer range problem: Inbred distrust of anything even remotely different. No, I think we will forever divide into factions, and fight each other to extiction. I hope I am wrong.
