I always find it interesting when events originating in World War II surface in modern times. It's a way of vicariously traveling through time, I suppose.
A lab tec. named Lysenko went to Stalin and said he could prove the validity of communist theory through biology. The result was famine and millions dead.I had never heard of it and if I had never would have believed it would ever have any effect on me. I was wrong.
China has not forgotten what happened during WW II and raises a fuss over Japanese school history books covering the war.As for the Japanese people, they had been badly used by the ruling class and taught for generations that a pencil neck geek could be a god. Hope there is a heaven so there can be a hell.
Kennedy was over rated and exploited by his family for political gain. His father got him a comfortable job in Washington during WWII but had to leave due to his sexual behavior and nazi spys. As a PT boat captain he got his boat sunk due to not doing his job and spun it into his being a hero. He did not face down the Soviets but cut a deal.
Thanks, looks very interesting, something that history teachers may find useful as a supliment to their curriculum.I remember my older brother brought home an old poetry book that was being trown out from the high school lirary because it was so old. The poems were arranged by era, the best in my opinion being from the civil war. Several of them influence me to this day. One, about the confederate flag ended, "...for it's people's hopes have fled."
