Don't forget that 1910 wasn't far away from the 19th century; not to mention that students didn't have to worry about WWI, the Great 1929 Depression, WWII, the Cold War, etcI don't say it was easier at the time but I don't think we can compare now and before
I'd say after Theodosius reign, the last emperor to rule over both the eastern and the western halves of the Roman Empire (AD 379-395) and who declared Christianity as the only legitimate Imperial religion, ending the state support for the traditional Roman religion (AD 380).
I would be very surprised that scientists use that kind of monitoring station for their warning about global warming. But well, in times of “intelligent design”, science is fundamentally challenged for religious and political reasons, nothing new since Galileo (except a dark age revival ?) 8)
I believe the Germans were working on a jet-propelled fighter that was just going into production at the end of the war....I believe I saw something on in on the History Channel a while back. It might have changed the course of some battled had it been introduced a year or two prior to that. Anyone know more about this?
