ParticipantTake a look at this, and tell me why the Vikings wanted to leave.
According to your source, the explanation is quite simple: who'd like to live under the eyes of CCTV cameras 24/7 ?

Or postured like that with twine like that after death.Good catch.
Rigor mortis might be another reason for that posture.Depending on temperature and other conditions, rigor mortis lasts approximately 72 hours. The phenomenon is caused by the skeletal muscles partially contracting. The muscles are unable to relax, so the joints become fixed in place. http://chemistry.about.com/cs/biochemistry/a/aa061903a.htm Here is a video about that discovery (in italian)http://gazzettadimodena.gelocal.it/foto-e-video/i-segreti-delle-mummie-1.696411

ParticipantI'm not really familiar with Caravaggio work but I'm fond of Georges de la Tour, whose paintings are known to reflect the Baroque naturalism of Caravaggio

What could they do ? Once beheaded, the Empire was unable to survive by itself. (in accordance to colonialism)Those countries, which I respect, were, at the time, totally in lost ! Without American protection and its support, they would have got "ripped off" by the Axis.

ParticipantNice slideshow. It is always good to bring back the memories from the pat. The sad thing is, most of the youths nowadays forget the essence of our history. Recent studies suggest that the typical U.S. pupil doesn?t know much about U.S. history. The Department of Education recently discovered in its assessment of public school students that more 4th grade students were proficient in U.S. history than high school seniors. I read this here: Most American students not proficient in American history
