Smallville isn't science fiction. It's fantasy. "V" was a mini-series so I'm not sure it qualifies for this post either. I guess Eureka might qualify. That was a good show too.
So it's fantasy but not science fiction? What is science fiction aside from fantasy which involves more tech and fewer elves/dwarfs/wizards? I actually saw Smallville listed in a larger list of sci-fi TV series so that's what gave me the idea to include it on here. Also, I think that the original "V" had more than one season, and I specifically remember a Christmas episode. I therefore think it qualifies as a sci-fi TV series.
The original Outer Limits. Has anyone here seen To Serve Mankind?
I thought that was a Twilight Zone episode where they realize it's a cookbook rather than a book of diplomacy. I did see that episode a while back. Was it actually the Outer Limits?

Based on these selections alone, I would arrange them like this:1. Star Trek TNG2. Star Trek TOS3. Stargate SG-14. Battlestar Galactica (*original series)5. Buck Rogers6. The Six Million Dollar ManThe ones omitted were ones that I never saw or never got into (though I admit that I barely remember seeing 4, 5, and 6 when they were on TV when I was a kid). Here would be my current selection of best sci-fi TV shows:1. Star Trek TNG2. Falling Skies3. Lost4. Dr. Who (original series)5. Star Trek TOS6. Alphas7. Stargate: Atlantis8. V (1984)9. Outer Limits (remake)10. Smallville
Some of ones I've deleted have had links in their profiles. I suspect the ones that don't either forgot to add them before they left or they are planning on returning and adding them later. One of the sneakiest spammers I've experienced on WCF started a normal account and only added spamming links some months later. Those kinds of spammers are very hard to detect. My hat is off to them.
We've gotten hit by a handful of spammers who have been able to bypass the forum's registration image security. I'm guessing they're human, rather than robots.
Those are some great photos. And yeah, they are rather eery. I recall watching the History Channel's show on the history of Halloween that it really only became a holiday that adults participate in recently (I want to say the last 20-30 years?). Now, it seems like adults dominate it.
Yes, just today I saw someone comment about how “if only” the Republicans in Congress would vote for some fixes of Obamacare, it could work. That seems to be part and parcel of the liberal playbook: to them, there doesn't seem to be enough change to satisfy them, and their utopian world is “just around the corner” if only we take their policy one step further. Remember the stimulus package? It could have worked “if only” we had put even more money into it. It's a great way to shift the blame when liberal policies fail to bear fruit, and it's also a great way for liberals to get people to invest even more into their schemes.
I read this article and this quote stuck out at me. It pretty much sums up all of our emotions/complaints/predictions/criticisms in one sentence (in bold):
Pam Kehaly, president of Anthem Blue Cross in California, said she received a recent letter from a young woman complaining about a 50% rate hike related to the healthcare law."She said, 'I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it,'" Kehaly said.
But how does the change to a beret fit into this? It had already been worn by at least some people in the military before that. As far as I'm aware, the move under Obama to convert the Marine cover is one to an entirely new “unisex” piece of headgear. Incidentally, I realize now that Obama is "trying" to get this passed (I thought he was forcing it on the Marines whether they wanted it or not).
Almost 30 years ago for a short trip to visit a friend studying at Cornell, Ithaca, NY. I first went to Canada then crossed the border by car to Maine, New Hampshire, Boston, Ithaca.
Ah, so you might have actually come across Skiguy while in Boston and not even have known it!
It seems to me that the benefits of Europe/America are double-edged swords. Europe excels at offering what is best when it is old – history, castles, styles of cooking, etc., but its oldness makes it suffer where old meets new (e.g. modern-day road systems). America has the reverse problem – since much of it was built up over the past century or so, it has a great road system, easily-accessible megamalls, etc., but it's hard to get a real sense of history for the average person.
