Lol - I think urine is recycled into water, perhaps for cooling systems or something, and waste might be used for fertilizer if they're growing their own food. Just a guess.
Well remember he did direct (and act in) Braveheart, which won Best Picture in 1995 or 1996. That was one of my favorite, if not the favorite, movies of all time. So we know he can direct quite well.
You know what I realize – there really aren't that many Civil War movies out there, and there are even fewer American Revolution movies. Meanwhile, there are plenty of Vietnam and WWII movies. I think that the farther back in history we go, the less depiction there is, even though some of these prior events had more direct impact on our lives now.
I always find it interesting when events originating in World War II surface in modern times. It's a way of vicariously traveling through time, I suppose.
Nobody's said “Gone with the Wind” yet. I remember watching it when I was very young and I obviously didn't get much out of it. I should try watching it again sometime seeing how it was perhaps named Best Picture in 1939, right?
Let me just clarify that there's not necessarily anything wrong with the site. I installed a patch to secure a security hole yesterday. However, if there's a commonality that can be found I'd like to explore it. So far I haven't found anything out of the ordinary on the server.
So it seems like the Domino Theory holds true for democracies as well. However, I can't say that it's as easy to become a democracy as it is to become communist. Think of the democracy that is Turkey in the Middle East/Far East Europe. I hardly hear of more Muslim countries following Turkey's lead.
I think there's also an element of Greek tragedies that is evident. Think of it – a father turns to the dark side in order to save his loved one, only to lose her in the process, and the son later comes back to battle the father, who in the end saves his son despite his choice of the dark side. Now that I finished with Episode III last night I have to say that the movies are much more enjoyable as a complete story than when i first saw them in the theaters.
Trying to think back to the documentary, I think it was discussed that when he left Africa, he did not make a straight line to Europe but I believe followed the southern coast for some time. Somehow some groups kept this up and continued on their way to Australia, which may have been connected to Asia at one point. Another group continued up through the Mongolian region and across the Bering Straight on their way to North America. Somewhere during this time some made their way westward to Europe, but at which point I do not recall. This theory was based on DNA or blood charting. A scientist tested people at various geographic points and was able to determine, based on their biological blueprints, how manking likely traveled across the continents.Of course one of the questions that then arise is how different races evolved. Evidently the group(s) that went northward to Europe lost their need for dark pigmentation (due to climate) and they eventually evolved, over many generations, into people with standard Anglo traits of today.
IBT, I had not heard that before. It was my understanding that homo sapien was different from other two-legged humanoid forms such as perhaps cro magnon man. And I have seen something which I think suggested that the two lived at the same time. It was also my understanding (from a documentary I think on Nova) that DNA research has pin-pointed man's origins in Africa, and from there he wandered to different continents.
