KeymasterSeems like that kind of attack will galvanize opposition more than a faceless bomb would have.

KeymasterI predict that it will expand to something like 8 teams in the future…maybe even as soon as 2-3 years. It seems like even getting the playoff system going was like moving a mountain, so I'm not surprised they didn't make it a bigger playoff at the get go.

KeymasterSo, what do you guys think of the new playoff format this year? I think it makes the games on Jan. 1 all the more exciting. It was a good move.

KeymasterEh? I looked up that Latin phrase and found it interesting you used it. I didn't realize it was part of the larger lexicon. Some other phrases you could use:Alea iacta estorWestern Civ Fago delenda est!

KeymasterI don't really pay attention to Turkish politics, but in broader history it seems to have escaped some of what has affected other countries to the east and south. Maybe that's coming to an end. At least I used to think of Turkey as a country which stood as an example of a Muslim democracy…

KeymasterWhen I saw that story a few days ago, I was surprised; I thought that Turkey was a moderate Islamic country. Perhaps it still is, but when the president makes such an extreme claim, it's not a good sign. I guess that Islamic historical revisionism is something we may be seeing more of in years to come.

KeymasterI'm waiting for antiquities scholars to start asking themselves, “now why is it again that we are so convinced that Alexander was born in Egypt?”

KeymasterWeed does seem like the cause du jour these days among neo-hippies. Now that I think of it, the divide between rich and poor has probably gotten even worse since OWS began. I guess that is what happens when there is widespread mismanagement of the economy over the course of several years; the rich are able to hang on – and even thrive – while the middle and lower classes lose what they have.

KeymasterThat's a handy site to have on hand. Unfortunately, though, I probably wouldn't be able to buy many of those beers on that list!
