ParticipantI am voting for McCain, so I guess you could say I am voting against Obama. But the reason I do NOT want Obama as POTUS has nothing to do with his color, name, rumors of his religion, etc etc etc..He could be white, with red hair, green eyes, and have freckles, and be named Seamus Patrick O'Hoilihan and I would not vote for him, simply because he is a Lib.Race means diddily, a man's values are what counts. and I abhor Obama's values.

ParticipantWhen he came back after his last ban I thought he was trying hard to be respectful and to keep his posts on topic. I didn't realize this before but I had restricted him so he couldn't edit his own posts, so that may have been why he was doing multiple replies instead of fixing what he had already written.I'll PM him and explain the situation, and if he doesn't fix himself I'll ban him for good, ok? I don't think he's here to discuss history anyway. If only he had a general discussion/firearms forum to post on, that would be perfect for him. Wait a second...... ;D
Don't EVEN THINK about going there ;D

ParticipantI thought Open Range was one of the best Westerns I've seen in recent times. I don't think I ever saw Tombstone and haven't seen 3:10 to Yuma so I'll have to try those some day.
Tombstone is a GREAT flick

ParticipantLmao, Donald...yeah, I'm a Hoosier. The good points are: the Indy 500, the Brickyard, Hoosier cantalope & white sweet corn in the summer; the bad points: our dern winters!!! I absolutely detest ice and snow...am trying to convince the spouse that Arizona is a lovely state all year around...
I'll take your Indiana winter and trade you our NE PA winter 😉
okie dokie, I'll take your NE PA snow and trade you our ice AND our tornadoes in the spring & summer. The heat in AZ doesn't bother me that much; we've been there several times visiting my aunt. Because the humidity is much lower there than in Indiana, I think that's why I like it. Plus, I love being able to visit mountains and the desert all in one day. Indiana certainly doesn't offer that difference in scenery.
WWOOAAHH...you didn't say anything about including tornadoes in the deal! 😮BTW, we get some ice.....mostly snow thoughOn 2nd thought, you can keep your flatlander weather ;D

ParticipantNice to see that “Bomber” Harris made the list. How about Hugh Dowding, for fielding Fighter Command with such skill as to defeat the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain? If the RAF was soundly beaten, there was a good chance that Great Britain would have been forced to surrender, for a number of reasons.Anyone want to run with this??

ParticipantScout –I know what you mean about dissing what a lot of us consider hallowed ground. The nice thing about walking to the top of Big Round Top was that since no roads go to it, there were no tourists there, period. ;D.Sorry to hear you got rooked at a restaurant, but that's why they're called "tourist traps". If you are ever there again, try Ernie's Texas Lunch. We will be going there in the fall (my sis just bought a house in Gettysburg). Stumpfoot - glad to hear you enjoyed the Dobbin House as well. the town is OK, interesting old hardware store there that just happens to sell guns ;). Great hobby/model train shop as well. Its like they knew my vices ;D

ParticipantI can see why some of the Danes would rather destroy it than explore it, but it is a great historical find.

ParticipantI would be interested in seeing that, being that I have an unhealthy interest in the Soviet/Warsaw Pact Cold War time period ;).I can see why residents of the former DDR would be pissed, though.

ParticipantHe got banned at NJO for a month (which I think was charitable…..beleive me, he was waayyy over the line there). It's not my board, but I would recommend banning him for a week or two, and explain to him why.If, after his "sentence" is served, he continues to act like a druken idiot, ban him for good. JMHO,QD

ParticipantGrey Mouser (aka History Farts) – you got yourself banned at NJO for this kind of behavior. Why not learn from your errors and post relevant posts, not drunken drivel.
quikdraw67
ParticipantSimply put, fearing the worst, I have been buying guns I believe will be banned, along with as much ammo as the quikdraw coffers can stand.McCain isn't my dream canidate by any means...but Obama is a nightmare in waiting.
