We plan on going to rome in the spring. Now I have one more place to see. We did not see the Vatican on our last trip because we went the week after John Paul II died and the whole area was overrun by Polacks.
Simple answer, doubtful.I am convinced the current generation of world leaders are even more cowardly than those of 30's Europe and with even less reason. (the current crop did not live through the horrors of WWI). We see evidence in their constant refusal to do anything about the rogue nations in the world as the Post piece rightly points out. Ironically, I think the world leader most likely to draw a line in the dirt were a new Hitler to arise somewhere would be Merkel. She reminds me very much of Thatcher.
Heck yeah it would have been fun. A buddy and I have been tossing around the idea of doing something similar over hear on a decent size wooded lot he owns. I have some experience of masonry/wood construction when I was a kid and it is not as difficult as you would think. The hardest part is getting the chimney flue right so it draws correctly.
Yes, the USPS has some stupid rules about what you can ship. I have to deal with that all the time when shipping to my APO address. Generally, if I have something the PO won't ship I ship it UPS or FedEx. Both carriers are less restrictive although you may have to pay extra if they say the item is hazardous. I use UPS to ship German beer to my brother for his birthday every year.
I have heard of the Fashoda Incident yet must admit that about all I know of it is the name. It is my understanding that the Entente was a result of British & French recognition that Germany was greater to either of them than they were to each other. The second Moroccan Crisis being a case in point.
I have not willingly eaten any insects nor had Balut eggs but I have tried everything else on your list. I thought snails were nasty, like even more disgusting oysters.
Heck, I find it amazing because 20 years ago only the military had GPS' and they were fairly large, only gave grid coordinates, and we had to use external antennas attached to the unit by a cable. They were called SLGRs or “sluggers” as we said at the time. Everything was input with the toggle switches on the right side.
