So begins a four year very dangerous period.  It never ceases to amaze me how stupid the American people can be.  I am so disappointed right now in my fellow countrymen.  I will be saying I told you so in 4 years when unemployment is still hovering around 8% and nothing has changed except the word is a more dangerous place. Apparently Americans are happy with a yellow-belly in the White House.  We deserve whatever happens in the next four years.  Forward! Indeed.

Today is the day!  We should know who wins by the time we go to bed tonight.

No different from “inflation” stats that leave out food and fuel rising costs.

That is my read on it too.  It seems the ministry of information is having a tough time spinning the news.

Can someone explain this sentence so that it makes sense to me? “American employers hired more workers than forecast in October while an influx of people joining the labor force pushed the jobless rate higher, according to the last job market report before the presidential election.”  The last part is what really does not make sense.  IT is from a Bloomberg puff piece designed to convince people Obama is doing a GREAT job on the economy.  It sounds like truthspeak to me.  I mean, I understand the media is in the bag for Obama, but come on, this is just a little ridiculous.

    Alea iacta est

Not quite yet.  Well, mine has anyway.  I voted almost two weeks ago.

Given that polls are starting to say Romney will take the Popular vote and Obama will win the Electoral College.  I thought I would put up this link to a story about the most nail-biting presidential elections, it is pretty good reading.BTW, I still think Romney is going to win in a 1980 repeat.  This is a pretty good piece I found linked on RCP: Mitt Romney set to win, maybe by a mile

Stay Safe.  All I have to worry about is a little snow.

Not necessarily.  It depends on several factors, how active the gleaners were, what if anything was officially done to clear the battlefield, subsequent land use can disturb and scatter remains.  The fact that this guy is claiming nothing has been found does not mean nothing ever has.The guy could be right, but he could also be just trying to generate controversy where none existed before.  I think that his claims need to be looked at with a healthy does of skepticism.  The establishment will also push back pretty hard.  I would imagine they will try to stop any digging done at the site he claims and if any is done they will do their best to discredit anything found. If nothing else, the claim that the battlefield is misidentified will make people look harder to prove they have it right.  At worst, we are witnessing the birht of yet another conspiracy theory though what the conspiracy might be I have no idea.

I like that she went to jail.  Too bad they don't do that current fraudsters more often.

I find it difficult to believe that the Hastings battlefield has been misidentified for almost a millennium and that one guy winkled out the truth.  The whole story smacks of yet another conspiracy theory to me.  It will be interesting to see if he gets an excavation approved and if anything comes of it.

Yeah, batten down and stay safe.  We are expecting our first snow of the year over here tomorrow.

I think your faith in Romney is misplaced.  You are setting yourself up to be disappointed.

Its not faith, it is he ain't Obama.  As I have said before, I would vote for a rock before I would vote for Obama.  At this point I think I would vote for a rock before I will ever vote Democrat.  Then again, I have never voted Democrat and see no reason to start now.
