I don't think everyone's mind is made up yet. Sure, all of our minds are made up, but there are wishy-washy people who either aren't sure or are prone to changing their minds. Even if it's only a few million people, it could still sway the election.
That is my thinking as well. They only have to sway the minds of enough people. I would guess that only about 6% of the population does not already know how they will vote and many of the decided knew before the campaign even started.
I expect Ryan to make Biden look like a fool, that is Biden does not do it to himself. If Romney performs as good in the second debate and capitalizes on his performances his start should continue to rise. He needs to continue to hammer away at his vision and point out Obama's failures. Obama has no achievements to tout that the majority of people like and Romney should take advantage of it.I liked the way Romney got Obama to take ownership of Healthcare, that was pretty slick. I also liked the way he pounced every time Obama made one of his idiotic class warfare comments. I just wish he would be as assertive on the campaign. Romney definitely looked presidential while Obama floundered.Romney/Ryan 2012 and 2016
We ain't going to change Donnie's mind and it is a waste of time trying. To get this discussion going again, how about the debate? I have not watched the whole thing yet but initial thoughts are that Romney owned it. I am in the process of wacthing, well listening to it, right now. The full debate posted to YouTube by the NYT is below:
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dkrwUU_YApE?version=3&hl=en_US"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dkrwUU_YApE?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true">
I think Obama's charge that Romney is a central planner to be hilarious and ludicrous on its face.
So are those same religious reasons OK with keeping Valerie Jarrett, Sebelius, Holder, Amb Rice, and all those other satanists on Obama's team in power?Sad and scary. The Obama administration is the most evil in the history of our country and you know it. By not voting to get rid of him or wasting your vote on someone you know FULL WELL doesn't stand a chance, you are approving of Obama's evil.
Since there is no thumbs up I will just repeat Ski's post word for word. He is hitting that nail square on the head. By refusing to oppose Obama, you are condoning him or at least guaranteeing 4 more years of his garbage. 4 years the country may not survive.
I got my ballot in the mail today but I have not yet filed it out. It usually takes about 10 days for the mail to get to Texas from Germany so I am going to take some time and mull my decision before I actually sit down and decide how to vote. One thing is certain, I will not vote for Obama. I may cast my presidential vote for a 3rd party candidate but probably not. I probably will vote 3rd party on some of the other races, I normally do.Donnie, this is you last chance to convince me that voting for the Romney/Ryan ticket is somehow the wrong decison
Only a gaffe if you are one of the PC set. If not, you just think it is in bad taste and don't purchase the puzzle. What you don't do is start an indignant campaign slandering the merchant. Just my 2¢.
Cause I was kind of in a hurry and therefor did not put it in the Age of Reason where it belongs. Good catch and I will fix it. This will become the Great Traveling Thread.
Obama does not want to be president, he wants to be a Rock Star and that is what he is getting. Silly things like actually governing just get in the way of spreading his message. You know, one almost gets the impression from what he says and the libs adore him that he and they think he is the Second Coming.
I think Romney's pluses outweigh his negatives by a large margin but he is running a weak campaign for some reason. I want him to be just as cutthroat as Obama and start talking home truths. That is the onlyw ay he is going to reach people and I don't see him doing that.
One of the articles I read about Lifeline said there is also a reduced cost broadband internet access program along with it. I find the whole notion of government cell phones ridiculous. That begs the question of why the Romney campaign is not making a bigger deal out of the way the current administration has aggressively marketed entitlement programs. If that is not buying votes with the dimes of others what is?
"Queer theory as applied to Middle Colonial life, 1730-1760". Would you want to include that as an example of scholarship? It may have been a "serious effort". I think the bottom line is that not all scholarly approaches are equal.
That is a good one. How do you even stretch available sources to cover that one? On top of that, what is "Queer Theory" anyway?
