I saw that too. It was all over Facebook as well.Another link to follow. Updated regularly, better than the other one I gave earlier. Probably will take some time getting on the site though. I imagine everyone in the country is following it.http://live.boston.com/Event/Live_blog_Explosion_in_Copley_Square
Yeah, that shed they are laying on doesn't look like it would offer much protection from a suicide bomb. That neighborhood must be freaking out. Just read that police stopped a car with two Russian nationals and Mass plates at Niagra FallsLinkWas Boston the go signal for the terrorist cells?
Not the Brown student. Very likely a Russian Islamist.Just read they detonated a pipe bomb near Commonwealth Ave. (not sure if they meant controlled detonation)All Boston public schools and universities are closed and public transit is shutdown. This is the best link I found so far. They are updating it regularly if you want to follow. Look at the photos of the SWAT team in the backyard.
The photos of the missing student with longer hair look very similar.Listening to the news this morning, one suspect dead and one MIT police officer shot and killed in Watertown, MA. Carjacking by the suspects with explosives thown out of the car. Happened around 10pm last night. Need to find out exactly were this occured as I drove through that city on my way home from the boat club last night around 8. Time to apply for that concealed carry.
Somebody else pointing this out. The 3 photos on the left are of a Brown student who went missing a couple of months ago, the other photo is one of the bombing suspects. Interesting.
Did anyone see Obama's press conference yesterday (it interrupted regular programming as a special report). Figured he'd talk about the terrorist attack in Boston, instead he talks about gun control. Had Gabby Giffords by his side. What is wrong with this guy??? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. But of course he's going to an “interfaith” church service in Boston today for a photo op. I am so disgusted.
The only ones blaming right-wing 'extremism' are the lowest rated shows on news television. I wouldn't worry about it influencing the public in any way (although president dumbo and others are trying to blame this on the sequester) It's open news now that a Saudi was somehow involved/a witness. I'm really curious about that man on the roof. My suspicion is it's nothing, but still.BTW, went to Boston yesterday afternoon. The Charles River was crowded with rowers...kids, colleges, adults. If the terrorists' goal was to instill fear in Bostonians, they failed.
Didn't read the article, but is there any mention of the student's choice of major? That's not the college's fault when a student studies something worthless like gender studies instead of something that could actually lead to a job.Quit blaming the universities and saying they failed when it is completely the student's responsibility.
Obama's weakness and stupidity is definitely showing. “We will find out why they did this and bring the full weight of justice” What the heck is this crap?!? This wasn't a Chicago drive-by shooting, this was terrorism. Justice doesn't work with them and we already know why.
I knew stuff like this would be happening. I fear this is just the beginning. They shut off cell phone service in Boston. 2 dead, 86 injured, most of them critical.Next week or next month, London is having a marathon. The Head of the Charles in the Fall draws crowds of over 300,000. Most of them congregate in the middle and at the finish line. Probably will be racing in it, will definitely be up there. Vigilance.Any word on how they did this? Did they leave a backpack or something or was it cell phone?
Depends on the time of day and if I'm going directly into the city (which I try to avoid if possible). Weekends or early morning take about an hour but during rush hour it can take up to two hours. I usually go to this parking garage just south of the city in Quincy and it's on one of the subway lines, that takes me about 30-45 minutes to get to depending upon the above mentioned factors. It's called the Quincy-Adams garage, so that makes it kind of easy to remember. 🙂
I love Boston, it's an extraordinary city. I go often to do things, but every once in a while I'll go up there just to explore. I don't like driving in it, but they have a good transmit system and it's very bicycle friendly. It's just awesome that there all these places where major historical events have occured.
