I wasn't totally clear if this was done because it raises the market value of the missing fragment (and therefore the overall vase), or because it becomes easier to extort something which is in smaller pieces.
Rosneft?s 2005 reserve replacement ratio of 109% was among the strongest in the industry globally, and significantly in excess of the Company's 100% target. In 2005, the Company spent approximately USD 1.10 per boe of reserves added as compared to an average among global supermajors of USD 9.47. In 2005, Rosneft averaged an additional 22.7 million barrels (3.1 million tonnes) of proved oil reserves per exploration well drilled.
I just think it's something it's something to pay attention to, IMO.
What about Russia's new oil and gas wealth, Donnie? Maybe that's what's emboldening Putin. I wouldn't exactly say they were cash starved now. Corrupt, yes.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, Phid. But wasn't Guy Fawkes a Roman Catholic who was battling FOR religious suppression?I was going to post something else about him (but then I found this). Could one say he was a terrorist? After all, he wanted to blow up Parliament. The Gunpowder PlotWhat was he trying to stop? The publication of the Bible?
Phid, Donnie and everyone. I hope you don't mind I do this. Just tell me if it's not appropriate on this board.I have a couple of questions about general writing (and one spelling question)When writing an essay with multiple paragraphs, is it SOP to put a space between paragraphs?Which one's correct:"gain confidence through knowledge"or"gain confidence thru knowledge"
Maybe it came from an “anonymous” source because it sure seems the Left has a lot of them. :-Remeber the alleged W comment about crapping on the Constitution? It came from a reporter who was told by an "anonymous" person who was allegedly in the room when he/she overheard Bush say that. Yeah...sure. That's about as valid as Libby "leaking" Plame's "covert" status to the press....oops...it wasn't him that did that, but let's throw him in prison anyway. Oy!!
Yes, that's the one. Not as boring as I though it would be. (but a good “attitude check' to see what it's like taking an uninteresting class) Kind of wish I took another another course with it. In August I'm taking 2, math and writing….maybe adding a third 1/2 way thru (sp?)…like history. That would be fun, because I'm quite sure I'd have you guys to discuss things.
I just got a 100 on my first exam!!! So much for learning anxiety. What a good confidence booster and good way to start.I'll admit, it wasn't really that difficult, but I was nervous about it.He hasn't graded my first essay yet though. I'll know this weekend.
I would like to read your essay. Attach it to an email and send it to me! ;D
I don't think you would classify it as a real essay, Donnie. It was very short (one paragraph) and simple. I think the prof. just called it an essay for lack of a better term. Basically it was just "what are your goals and barriers for learning". BUT, per his directions, I did not use "I think" or "in my opinion". I kept it third person. So far, I was one of only two students who did that. 8)(And, besides, I'll need your opinions when I do the other, real essays...like when I start taking the history and terrorism courses ;D)
This a great topic. Keep it going, it's very helpful. I would assume this would work for pretty much any subject?(a topic on "How to properly cite sources" would be helpful too..although I'll learn how to do that in my next course)Is this also for any paper/essay? Avoid the "I think" or "in my opinion" phrases. Keep it in the third person.
