It would have made complete military sense for the Germans to invade Ireland as it was a perfect location to set up to reinvade England in a bid to take Britain back from the Germans

reinvade England?  take Britain back?  That doesn't make sense, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's misquoted.

I won't be voting for Romney because of religious reasons.

So are those same religious reasons OK with keeping Valerie Jarrett, Sebelius, Holder, Amb Rice, and all those other satanists on Obama's team in power?Sad and scary.  The Obama administration is the most evil in the history of our country and you know it. By not voting to get rid of him or wasting your vote on someone you know FULL WELL doesn't stand a chance, you are approving of Obama's evil.

Unless Oxford wants me on their crew and offers me a full scholarship, I'm not really planning on any grad school right now.

I didn't read all your posts yet but I wonder why you put 18th century Prussia in the Renaissance period ?

    That's a good question. 8)

Michelle's school “nutrition” program.  Why is Mitt or Ryan not saying anything? It's so easy too.  All they have to do is make a comparison between an active 6'1, 215 lb linebacker who has to eat the same calories as the non-athletic 5'1, 105 band nerd.  The Romney campaign has so many points that can be stated easily enough even braindead Leftists can understand.  Since most of the people only care about what happens the week or day before the election, maybe he's waiting. (wishful thinking?)  Let's face it, Obama's bungling and outright lying about the dead ambassador in Libya will be all but forgotten by November.  And I really believe people don't care about Obama's many faults anyway. I mean Obama is just so cool and all. All we can hope for is that a lot of people are reading Drudge, American Thinker, Free Republic, and other right-leaning sites since in many cases they are the only ones reporting the actual news.

It's not just pre-history they study. Cultural anthropologists study different cultures, past and present. Check out that Human Terrain System program they did in Iraq. That was mainly run and manned by anthropologists.  But I think you're proving a point.  Anthropology = sociology and they are both crap..or tend to go there often (especially when it comes to religion).  When I took my anthro class, I was interested in the basics only. Once they started getting in depth and coming up with these insanely crazy theories, that's when I knew it was garbage.  They claim monkeys fearing lighting is where human religion evolved from.  Yeah, whatever.  ::)

Wasn' t there a major(?) group of anti-war proponents during WWI?  I know there was in Ireland, but I think that was more opposition to Great Britain rather than the war itself.  In WWII, if I'm not mistaken, the Dutch were anti-war/neutral until Germany invaded. With the English Civil War and their wars in India there were always a contingency.  My question is this.  Recently, anti-war protestors are Leftists.  Was it always like that?

Sorry for the confusion. My comment was more in general, not specific to 18th century Prussia.

Bring back only landowners and responsible tax payers can vote.  These freeloaders are the ones who are ruining the country (and the Democrats who court their votes as well)
