I think the Founding Fathers would be saddened by the current condition of our nation, but I don't know if they would have been appalled. They knew how risky it would be to keep a Republic.
I like moderate warmth like 75-80. When it starts getting 90+ especially with humidity, that's not so good. But yes, warm is much better than cold.
I think I'll sit this one out. Two losers running for president just doesn't cut it for me. Tell me who wins.
This is about where I'm at too. I'm so sick of voting against someone, I want to vote FOR somebody. I just find it difficult to be for Romney.

Comparing events or other things and what-ifs in history is fun to a point, but I think when you start looking at individuals, we should be cautious of any comparisons. Augustus was one of the greatest leaders of Western Civilization. But would we want him as President?
Agree about the Brits. Not only were they preoccupied. they already lost the colonies and were concentrating on Australia and India.
