ModeratorA burgeoning pet peeve of mine is hearing rock/pop/dance versions of Christmas carols.
Only acceptable ones are Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Carrie Underwood.

ModeratorI just called him out on his “thousands of them” comment.

ModeratorI don't think it's propaganda, I just think it's his opinion. His “I've known thousands” comment just tells me he's BSing.

ModeratorI just figured it was Eisenhower who said that seeing he was against the “military industrial complex.”

ModeratorAll guesses on my part as well"Don’t let schooling interfere with your education." Oscar Wilde"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions. Their lives a mimicry. Their passions a quotation." Lao Tzu"Some people die at 25 and aren’t buried until 75." Mark Twain"A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on." Benjamin Franklin"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." Dwight D. Eisenhower"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." John F. ModeratorI searched all the major databases. It did show the article, but it wasn't available…it just took me to the JSTOR login where I had to pay to view it. I don't think AMU has American Zoologist articles available for students. The thing is over 30 yrs old, I thought stuff like that was more public domain.

ModeratorNone of them have it. AMU doesn't have the strongest science library.
skiguy
ModeratorAeth, thanks. I had one of those already but I just grabbed the other one. And they all cite the one I want. Don't believe AMU has access to Oxford Journals

Moderatorsince I have nothing better to do than surf the net.
I wish I never discovered reddit, but man, some of that stuff is hilarious!
